(CHICAGO) October 18, 2018 — Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) is recognizing ThinkCERCA founder and CEO Eileen Murphy Buckley as one of the 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs of 2018 at its Builders + Innovators Summit in Santa Barbara, California.
Goldman Sachs selected Murphy Buckley as one of 100 entrepreneurs from multiple industries to be honored at the three-day event. Murphy Buckley developed ThinkCERCA’s personalized literacy platform in 2012 to help all educators teach critical thinking skills through close reading and academic writing across subjects. A renowned provider of 21st century teaching and learning, ThinkCERCA is proven to help students achieve two years of academic growth per year on average.
Prior to ThinkCERCA, Murphy Buckley served as an English teacher for 15 years as well as Director of Curriculum for 115 schools across Chicago. She is also the author of 360 Degrees of Text: Using Poetry to Teach Close Reading and Powerful Writing, which was published by the National Council of Teachers English in 2011.
