Alex Otstott

Partnership Development Rep

As a former educator, Alex believes education is a tool that can be used to influence social change and empower others to help level the playing field.

After receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, Alex taught algebra in Nashville, Tennessee and went on to earn his Master of Education with a focus in Classroom Instruction.

As a Teach for America alum, Alex attempted to integrate technology into his classroom but found that many tools replaced personalized instruction instead of aiding in his instruction. Through this experience, he realized much could be done to help integrate technology into the classroom. Alex went on to work for a few technology companies before joining the ThinkCERCA team where he is excited to make his vision a reality for all students.

Favorite Quote: “A ship is safe in harbor, but that’s not what ships are for.”

If you could be any fictional character, who would it be? Since I was a kid, I wanted to be Spiderman; we see his journey to overcome everyday hurdles while juggling this extraordinary power and sense of duty. It has always been an inspiration to me.
