Dani Siegel was a Special Education Teacher, Special Education Department Head, and Case Manager for four years at an elementary school on the south side of Chicago. She is also a Teach for America alum, joining the corps after earning her bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan (GO BLUE!). While teaching, she earned her master’s degree in Special Education at National Louis University. She is a firm believer that education is the great equalizer and wants to ensure that all students receive access to a strong education. As a teacher, she learned about ThinkCERCA and noticed its alignment with what she was doing with her students. She left the classroom to join ThinkCERCA, as the District Partnership Coordinator, so that she can help spread the word about best practices for teaching students.
