Katy has worn many hats over her years in nonprofit: community organizer, trainer, fundraiser, event planner, advocate, innovator, and more. As part of ThinkCERCA’s team, she leads ThinkCERCA’s partnership development in schools in urban districts like Chicago, Philadelphia, and St. Louis as well as partnerships with rural and suburban districts in Arkansas and Pennsylvania.
Prior to ThinkCERCA, Katy dedicated her energy to creating innovative solutions at the first homeless shelter for women in the nation. Utilizing evidence-based practices and community organizing, her team worked creatively and collaboratively for change. An alum of Santa Clara University and Boston University, she’s now based in Chicago and is excited to be back to her Midwestern roots.
