Laura Guska

Director of Success

Laura spent six years in the elementary education world before bringing her teacher perspective to her role as Director of Success at ThinkCERCA. She also served on her school’s Response to Intervention team and developed English Language Arts units and assessments aligned to Common Core State Standards. While developing the CCSS-aligned units, she discovered the amazing asset of ThinkCERCA. Her positive experience in the classroom, as well as the growth she saw in her students, inspired her to help teachers and principals maximize the ThinkCERCA program. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Iowa — go Hawkeyes!

What was your best Halloween costume? For a Hollywood Themed Party: Gretchen Wieners from Mean Girls. My hair was full of secrets, and I carried around a box of Toaster Strudels.

What is your go-to karaoke song? “Ice Ice Baby” by Vanilla Ice.

Where is your favorite place to travel? Traveling is a huge passion of mine, so picking one is difficult… I think it is a tie between Greece and Cinque Terre, Italy; both have amazing culture and have beaches, which is all I need.
