This summer, join ThinkCERCA for a nationwide education roadshow featuring workshops on close reading and argumentation.ThinkCERCA’s Chicago Summer Institute will feature a research-based approach to literacy instruction across disciplines, led by our team of former educators, including Eileen Murphy Buckley, author of 360 Degrees of Text (NCTE 2011). This full-day seminar is designed to empower literacy leaders in grades 4-12 ahead of the 2015-2016 school year.
Teachers will leave with five simple strategies for implementing the CERCA framework in ELA, science, and social studies, along with free resources for summer reading. These workshops will also highlight how to implement the CERCA framework in a blended learning environment.
Please bring a laptop computer or tablet device, as this is an extremely interactive and hands-on experience.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
